Tea accessories help in the fulfillment of tea-drinking, from brewing loose leaves in an infuser to dropping tea bags in a teapot. Besides the infinite variations of tea available, there are also multiple tools and accessories to help make the teatime a simple, yet refined affair.
Some of my personal favorites to help me get the best out of my tea are listed below.
Tea Infusers:
Very important for steeping or brewing loose Tea leaves, in a mug or a teapot full of hot water. Tea Infusers empower one to quickly steep tea from fannings and broken tea leaves.
The brand that I like is Austor Tea Infuser Stainless Steel Tea Strainer Steeper Filter available on Amazon.
It is easy to use and handle. Made of high-quality stainless steel and is ranked #4 in the Tea strainers category on Amazon Canada.
My second pick is GOOOA Extra Fine FDA Approved 18/8 Stainless Steel Tea Infuser Mesh Strainer with Large Capacity & Perfect Size Double Handles for Hanging on Teapots, Mugs, Cups to steep Loose Leafs. It is FDA approved and Odor Free. The stainless steel contains NO harmful chemicals. This is a Safer option to dip in hot water than using plastic ones. This is also available on Amazon.
Teapot:
This notable accessory provides the aesthetic appeal to tea. I love to collect them, and there are many beautiful teapots online and in-stores to entice you. Teapots differ based on materials used such as ceramic, stainless steel, glass, porcelain, bone china, etc.
Tealyra on Amazon tops my list in the ceramic category. Ceramic teapots are suitable for black tea as it can easily hide the stains. Also, ceramic and cast iron teapots retain heat inside, keeping the tea hot. The porcelain teapots are best for Green and White tea as they transfer lower heat.
Sweese Teapot, a Porcelain Tea Pot with Stainless Steel Infuser, is my pick for sturdiness and classy look. It’s also ranked high on Amazon among various teapots.
Teabloom Stovetop & Microwave Safe Glass Teapot is my choice in the glass teapot category. Again, it is crystal clear borosilicate glass as enduring as it is graceful. It is also Amazon’s number 1 choice in the glass teapots category. There is a strong liking for glass teapots. The explicit and transparent material allows us to watch the dancing of the tea leaves as it unfurls.
Last but the most precious is my bone china teapots. Inspired by the exceptional English embroidery tradition, Fine Bone China pattern is characterized by elegance and timeless look, nostalgic of the enduring legacy. My liking is based on what is available in Canada and fits my budget; bone china accessories can range quite high in cost.Royal Albert New Country Roses White Fine Bone China – 6 Cup Teapot has a vast selection in this category, slightly expensive but worth a pick.
Tea-sets:
Tea-sets are lovely, but how do you pick the best? Most people have a preference for the type of tea servers they want to purchase. Countries like India, China, Japan, and Europe have a massive collection of Tea-sets ranging from porcelain, ceramic to Bone china, and recently glass. Ufengke 15 Piece European Ceramic Tea Sets, sold on Amazon, fits my top list of Tea-sets. It has an elegant European look and is very pretty.
My second pick is Gracie China by Coastline Imports. It is an excellent buy for full service for four. A beautiful set, colors nice, feel, and texture is unique. Perfect for everyday use or special occasions or use for guests that don’t appreciate the old pieces. It has a Victorian look, legendary and traditional.
Pukka Home hualisi Porcelain Sets British Royal Series, 8 OZ Cups& Saucer Service for 6, with Teapot Sugar Bowl Cream Pitcher Teaspoons Strainer for Tea. This my mid-price range selection, available on Amazon. This a fantastic tea set, both the Purple and Pink sets, is beautiful, sturdy, and luxurious. The teapot comes with a tea leaf removable filter, which is incredible. Overall I am happy with the purchase and would highly recommend this tea-set to anyone.
Collectibles I treasure
I covered the essential tea accessories required to enjoy the authentic flavor of the tea. However, there are few extras that I buy and like to amplify the look of tea accessories. These are, Mind Reader 10 Piece”Lucy” Loose Leaf Tea Organizer, Silver. Mini Honey Pot & Dipper, great accessory for me to store my honey, which I frequently use in my tea to fight my cold and cough.
This I use when I drink tea for convenience, tea made from tea bags. The squeezer beautifully designed in stainless steel. It is handy and helps to grasp the tea bag with the tongs and squeeze.
The Pioneer Woman Blossom Jubilee Creamer and Sugar Pot Set is my choicie when I drink my traditional “Chai” with milk and sugar, to be honest, I have replaced sugar with honey but sometimes a requirement for my guests.
My collections are mostly shopped and bought from Amazon. However, you can shop all the beautiful accessories elsewhere too. There are many online retailers with great collection.
I have abstained from rating and passing judgment on a particular brand or accessory as the purpose of this article was not rating, rather cherishing these wonderful accessories. The above choices are my personal collection purchased based on craft, price, durability, and purpose.
It’s pure joy when I, as a tea enthusiast, collect tea accessories to enjoy my favorite tea.
Tea has been my buddy since my childhood, we both have shared and observed many untold stories, pure emotions in the silence with fumes rising high. It’s Nirvana at its best!
With this article, I made all you readers my buddy and took you through the journey of my tea accessories collection. Hope you enjoyed reading! Time for my Tea!
Very nice too. I have an infuser that is like a long-handled double-sided strainer, it is silver and tarnishes easily. *sigh* you shut a spoon of leaves inside, soak in a cup then stir. I must get one like yours it is more practical and would hang under the lid in my pot. Happy tea drinking and thank you.
Thank you for sharing your tea post on SIPB. I am not a tea drinker as you are, prefer my coffee, as I had my fill of tea as a baby, as I could not drink milk, thus had a herbal tea instead of milk. I still do drink tea but prefer a good coffee.
Too good!!
Bone chine my all time fav, most elegant.
