Do you want to intensify the iced tea experience this summer? We can make this iced sparkling tea using any Tea. I prefer green, iced tea. What do you prefer? It is a fabulous drink to add in the summertime patio lunches or drinks, non-alcoholic, perfect for kids too! Green tea, orange juice, sparkling water, and a dash of mint, ooh! What a refresher for ideal summer!

This year it has been remarkably hot in Toronto! I usually like my tea hot, but looking at summer days, I had to create a recipe that would give me the same energy and boost as the original hot tea. We all know the benefits of tea, notably green tea, and how it can play a decisive role in health enhancement.

Creating new Green Tea recipes with slight modification is my hobby, and I keep adding elements, I call them magical ingredients. It has become particularly important to enhance my regular tea intake with healthy ingredients to boost my and family’s immunity towards fighting COVID 19.

The sparkling green iced tea is the simplest and easiest recipe that I have ventured into with a few of my favorite ingredients. I am a big fan of this recipe due to its taste and stimulating characteristics.

Sparkling Iced Green Tea

Iced green tea with lemon, lime, and fresh mint is a refreshing and revitalizing beverage for those warm days. Each glass sweetened naturally with honey.

Sencha Green Tea leaves, organic tea leaves

¼ cup honey, good organic honey

Bunch of mint leaves

Directions

  • Place the entire lemon juice to a large pitcher.
  • Bring 3 cups of water to boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and allow the hot water to sit for about 45 to 60 seconds for the perfect taste. Add green sencha leaves. Steep for 3 minutes or according to the package for the best results.
  • Let the water cool and strain the water, add honey until dissolved. Pour tea and honey mixture into the pitcher.
  • Add 3 cups of Sparkling cold water to the pitcher. Stir until well blended. Taste and add more honey if desired.
  • Serve chilled Sparkling green tea with ice cubes, with a few lemon slices and fresh mint leaves in each glass.
