Chai Latte-The perfect drink for this fall and winter

 

As we approach the fall and winter season, we become lazier and sluggish and need something to rejuvenate us. It is a perfect time to enjoy a chai latte cup that tastes like “pure magic.” 

The blend of warm spices, black tea, and milk is refreshing and full of energy. With minimal caffeine content, this becomes a go-to drink throughout the day!

All the above spices have their distinct health benefits in Ayurveda medicine to fight off cold-weather illnesses alongside Tea benefits.

For example, 

  1. Cinnamon is thought to help boost memory, assist with digestion, and improve the skin. 
  2. Bay leaves are a rich source of vitamin Avitamin Cironpotassiumcalcium, and magnesium. They have been proven to be useful in the treatment of migraines. Bay Leaf contains enzymes that help to breakdown proteins and digest food faster, helping to calm indigestion.
  3. Nutmeg includes inherent volatile oils with anti-inflammatory properties that make it useful for treating joint and muscle pain. Nutmeg helps combat insomnia, digestive issues, bad breath, etc.

Preparation

INGREDIENTS

4 Spoons of organic chai leaves

½ cup (4 oz) water (follow the brand’s steeping instructions for temperature)

1¼ cup of milk or lactose free alternative

a pinch of cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

Add 4 Spoons of chai leaves to a Steeper and steep according to steeping instructions.

Dispense tea from Steeper into a cup, top it with frothed milk. Sprinkle the cinnamon powder on top! or any other spice you crave or love!
