Instagram has launched its short video feature called Reels in India. The new feature allows users to create videos on the app, combine creative filters and music and share it beyond their regular followers, as informed by Vishal Shah, VP of Product, Facebook. Reels seems similar to TikTok and enables users to create 15 seconds video with favorite songs, trends, or challenges.
The new feature lets users shoot video, add filters, and music from Instagram’s catalog and share it outside the Instagram platform. It has audio, effects, and other creative tools, which can be distributed on the feeds.
Reels has only launched in India, Germany, France, and Brazil as of now. It has already created a buzz around thousands of Indians who embraced the unique feature with enthusiasm.
